On Dec. 10, 2016, Kurdish militants set off two bombs outside a soccer stadium in Istanbul. The bombs detonate within a minute of each other, killing 38 and injuring 155 others. The Kurdistan Freedom Hawks (TAK), an offshoot of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) claims responsibility. These groups are responsible for many of the attacks in Turkey over the past year. The Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu promises, "Sooner or later we will have our vengeance. This blood will not be left on the ground, no matter what the price, what the cost."
