- Head of the International Monetary Fund Is Found Guilty of Negligence

- On Dec. 19, 2016, the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Christine Lagarde, is found guilty by a special court in France. The court, made up of parliament members and magistrates, announce that she was negligent in a case when she was serving as the French economy minister. However, Lagarde will not receive a fine, any jail time, or even a criminal record and she will be able to appeal the decision if she chooses.
