Biden Evacuated From Vacation House: On Saturday, June 4, 2022, the United State President, Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden were temporarily evacuated from their vacation home after a small private plane unknowingly entered the restricted airspace over Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. The initial investigation shows that the pilot was not following NOTAMS (Notice to Airmen) that had been filed and was not following flight guidance. The United State Secret Service spokesman, Anthony Guglielmi, said it was discovered that the pilot was on the wrong channel.^[1]
North Korea Launched 8 Short-Ranged Ballistic Missiles: On Sunday, June 5, 2022, the South Korean Joint Chief of Staff claims North Korea fired eight short-range ballistic missiles (SRBM) into the waters off its east coast in a move they described as unprecedented. Six of the fired missiles were reported by Japan's defense ministry to have reached a maximum altitude of between 50 to 100 kilometers (31 to 62 miles) and traveled a distance of about 300 to 400 kilometers (186 to 249 miles).^[2]
China Is Ambitious About Space Programs: On Monday, June 6, 2022, three astronauts began work on China's Space station, the Heavenly Palace, which was launched into orbit last year. China, the third country to have both an astronaut and a space station, has even more extensive intentions. According to sources, it plans to reach Mars, send a probe to Jupiter, and put an astronaut on the moon by 2030.^[3^]

Visits, Boycotts, Charges, and Arrests

Belgium Monarch Visits Congo: On Wednesday, June 8, 2022, Belgium's King Philippe and his wife, as well as the Belgian Prime Minister, landed in Congo for a week-long royal visit to the former colony. King Philippe was the first Belgian official to express sorrow for colonization and the tragedies and humiliation. According to some estimates, in Belgium's first 23 years in power, up to 10 million Congolese perished due to killings, famine, and sickness.^[1]
The Gulf States Boycott India Over Remarks: On Monday, June 6, 2022, after statements against the Islamic Prophet Muhammed sparked uproar in the Middle East, Nupur Sharma, India's national spokeswoman, and Naveen Kumar Jindal, India's ruling party's Delhi media chief, have been suspended. Many Gulf nations have summoned their respective Indian ambassadors in response to the remarks, which have been termed “insulting.” The BJP said, “severe action would be taken against persons who say offensive words” and removed both spokespeople.^[2]
Harvey Weinstein Charged With Assault In The UK: On Wednesday, June 8, 2022, after reviewing the evidence acquired against the 70-year-old former Hollywood producer, the Crown Case Service approved the prosecution on counts of assault. The head of the CPS's special crime department, Rosemary Ainslie, reminds everyone concerned that the defendant is facing criminal charges and has the right to a fair trial. According to the police, the victim is a lady in her fifties.^[3]
Armed Suspect Arrested Near Justice Kavanaugh's Home: On Wednesday, June 8, 2022, Nicholas John Roske, an armed suspect, was apprehended near the Maryland residence of Justice Brett Kavanaugh. After contacting 911 to report himself, Roske, a California resident, was detained and discovered with a revolver, a knife, and pepper spray. According to reports, he has been indicted in a federal court in Maryland with attempting to assassinate a Supreme Court Justice.^[4]
GOP Gubernatorial Candidate Arrested: On Thursday, June 9, 2022, Ryan Kelley, a Republican gubernatorial candidate in Michigan, was arrested on misdemeanor counts as a consequence of the Capitol breach on January 6, 2021. Kelley was a real estate broker in 2020, according to his website. His arrest occurred amid a volatile Republican primary after two other GOP candidates were barred from participating in the August elections.^[5]

Many Injured After Phoenix Mass Shooting: On Saturday, June 4, 2022, police confirmed that nine people were shot, one fatally wounded, after an altercation between multiple parties in Phoenix escalated early Saturday morning. Officials announced the closure of the road near the strip mall while processing the area and looking for witnesses and evidence. Nine people. Characterized as young adults were taken to hospitals after the late-night shooting that sent people running.^[1]
Nigerian Mob Burns Man To Death: On Sunday, June 5, 2022, a 30-year-old Nigerian man, Ahmad Usman, died after being set ablaze by a mob of about 200 people. The victim was found at the scene with severe burns and was taken to the hospital but couldn't survive the injuries. Human rights campaigners say the lack of confidence in the country's criminal justice system adds to the cause of frequent cases of mob violence.^[2]
Explosions Rock Ukraine's Capital: On Sunday, June 5, 2022, several explosions rocked Kyiv a day after officials said troops recaptured the eastern battlefield city of Sievierodonetsk. The governor of the Luhansk region, including Sievierodonetsk, Serhly, and Gaidai, said the Ukrainian forces are controlling about half the city after recapturing a large chunk from Russian troops.^[3]
Floods And Heavy Rain Could Rage In Australia: On Thursday, June 9, 2022, a US-based scientist met with colleagues in Australia and gave a public session on the current state of the Pacific, where the ocean temperature is used to determine the occurrence of El Niño or La Nina. There is a possibility of a triple La Ninas, which are very rare, with the last one occurring more than 20 years ago. If the coming storm is a triple La Nina, it has the potential to continue into 2023.^[4]
