William, (William
Arthur Philip Louis), 1982–, Prince of Wales of Great Britian, eldest
son of King Charles
III and Diana Princess
of Wales (1961–1997) and heir to the British throne. William studied
at Eaton College, University of St. Andrews, and the Royal Military Academy
Sandhurst before joining the Blues and Royals Regiment of the Household
Cavalry in 2007. The following year he graduated from the Royal Air Force
College Cranwell and served as a pilot with the RAF Search and Rescue Force
(2009–2013) and East Anglian Air Ambulance (2015–2017). He
married Catherine (Kate) Middleton in April, 2011 and was made Duke of
Cambridge before the ceremony. They have 3 children, George (July, 2013),
Charlotte (May, 2015), and Louis (April, 2018).
After the death of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II in Sept., 2022, he
became Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay. He was named Prince of Wales
by his father King Charles III the same month.
