former government official, pleaded guilty to bribery, conspiracy, money laundering, and weapons possession charges in February. While working for the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq, he allegedly stole about $2 million in American taxpayer money and Iraqi funds from oil sales. He's also accused of taking bribes from American businessman Philip Bloom in exchange for awarding Bloom's company lucrative construction projects.
