Knicks; drafted Willis Reed in 1964 and dealt for Dave DeBusschere in 1968, two moves that helped New York win its first NBA championship in 1970; was opposing coach when Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points in a game in 1962; coached St. Bonaventure to appearances in two NITs and one NCAA tournament; He died of complications from a stroke.
