TV news reporterSherr received a BA from Wellesley College. After working as a reporter for the Associated Press, WCBS-TV in New York, and the PBS stations WNET in New York and WETA in Washington, DC, Sherr joined ABC News in 1977. She covered national news, including presidential elections and the space program. In 1982 she became national correspondent at ABC, and in 1986 was assigned to the news program 20/20. The award-winning Sherr has specialized in such issues as women's issues, health, and social change.
