These figures, gathered in 2017, are the most recent published by the Energy Information Administration. Global consumption increased in 2018 and 2019, although these increases were more concentrated in developing economies than developed ones; China, India, Saudi Arabia, and Brazil all likely have higher consumption figures currently, although the rankings would remain largely unchanged.

 

Includes all countries that consumed more than 2 million barrels per day in 2018.
