Blyth

Blyth blīᵺ [key], town, Northumberland, NE England, at the mouth of the Blyth River. It is an industrial center and seaport, with shipbuilding and ship repair. Ropes and sails, confectionery, textiles, and clothing are manufactured. The area south of the harbor is a seaside resort.
