Kepler Finds Earth-Size Planets (Dec. 20): NASA's Kepler mission discovers two Earth-size planets. The planets, named Kepler-20e and Kepler-20f, are the first Earth-size planets found outside our solar system. The two planets orbit a sun-like star too closely to have liquid water on their surface, but the discovery is a milestone in the search for planets like Earth.
