Director Elliott, who earned a name for himself with Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, may have a hard time recovering from this fiasco. After a deadly mishap, con artist Teddy (Schaech) high-tails it out of New York and heads to the outback of Australia to start anew. He's kidnapped by a sex fiend, Angie (Porter), who brings him home to Woop Woop, where her diabolical father (Taylor) runs the show, forcing all his prisoners to subsist on canned pineapple while he enjoys schnitzel. To keep spirits up, a loud speaker blares sappy Rodgers and Hammerstein show tunes. Teddy and Angie's sister (Smart) plot an escape. Camp is cool, but the lowbrow, gross-out jokes push the limit of acceptability.
