A lyrically poignant film, but its lesson in humanity unfolds at a snail's pace. Looking and acting uncannily like his famous and famously reserved father, Peter Fonda plays the anti-Captain America, a lonely, diffident beekeeper, Ulee, whose quiet life is disturbed when his two granddaughters (Biel and Zima) show up on his Florida doorstep. Ulee finds redemption when he saves his family from his petty-thief son's (Wood) criminal past.
