Two teens are on the run from the law after botching a prescription-drug heist. The runaway lovers make a break for Niagara Falls, but after a few violent stops, their road trip (and the plot) takes a turn for the worse. Tunnel won the Venice Film Festival's best actress award for her uncompromising role as the young fugitive whose Tourette's Syndrome brings on tics, seizures and fits of violence. Thomas is less impressive as her sweet but dull partner in crime.
