Devastatingly moving, Angel Baby chronicles the desperate relationship of a mentally unstable couple. Harry (Lynch) and Kate (Mc-
Kenzie) meet in a psychiatric clinic and fall passionately in love. Though medication keeps them somewhat in control, the scars that blemish their wrists reveal their mental fragility. With the support of their doctors and families, Harry and Kate move in together and try to piece together some semblance of a normal life, though Kate's demons continue to haunt her. When Kate becomes pregnant, the couple decides to have the baby and stop taking medication, despite the risks. Though heartbreaking and tragic, the film conveys a feeling of hope in the face of doom.
